The Bodmin Treatment Centre is a modern purpose built facility
designed to provide exceptional facilities and equipment for the
assessment, diagnosis and treatment of conditions on a day case
basis.
The treatment centre provides dedicated facilities, providing
fast access to streamlined services. This ensures you are scheduled
efficiently to minimise the number of visits you are required to
make to the centre.
Treatments at the Centre
Operations offered include general surgery including endoscopy
and colonoscopy and laparoscopic hernia
repair, Ophthalmology including cataracts and
gynaecological procedures including colposcopy, hysteroscopy and
laparoscopy, ENT, Dermatology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and
Hand surgery.
Hospital facilities
The treatment centre has an outpatient department providing a
suite of consulting and examination rooms together with facilities
for undertaking diagnostic tests and pre-Operative assessments.
A spacious operating theatre is equipped for undertaking a range
of routine operations under general and local anaesthetic with a
second theatre equipped and dedicated to endoscopy procedures.
Following a procedure patients receive close monitoring and
observation in one of four recovery bays, before being transferred
to a comfortable sit up area with reclining chairs to complete the
recovery process.
All car spaces are close to the entrance providing same level
access. If a wheelchair is required within the centre we are more
than happy to provide one.
Our Staff
All patients are under the care of a consultant, an anaesthetist
is available until discharge form the treatment centre and you will
at all times be looked after by experienced nurses, heath care
assistants, technical and administrative staff. Your care and
comfort are their highest priority.

Bodmin has Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation for
endoscopy services. This means an independent audit has certified
the quality of training, quality of the service, quality of the
facility and the quality of individuals. In addition patients give
us continuous feedback to monitor and improve the service.
